Five of my works, Bound By Labor, The Wall Within, Anchored in Agony, Equilibrium, and Silent Breath, were selected for their alignment with the curatorial vision.

Each piece engages with the invisible yet deeply felt tensions that lie beneath personal, political, and cultural realities:

Bound By Labor captures a female figure in servant attire, resting beside a welded sculpture made from cutlasses, axes, and chains, tools that speak to histories of exploitation and endurance.

The Wall Within explores emotional entrapment and the unseen scars we carry in silence.

Anchored in Agony meditates on the weight of suppressed grief, rooted in generational pain and resilience.

Equilibrium presents a symbolic narrative on Africa’s exposure during global health crises, where the continent remains crucial yet continually overlooked.

Silent Breath reflects on systemic suffocation, where survival itself becomes an act of resistance.

Together, these works act as quiet confrontations, visual excavations of what lies beneath appearances, asking viewers to bear witness to both visible forms and invisible currents.

For me, participating in this exhibition is an opportunity to share not only images, but the layered narratives, silences, and ancestral wisdom that inform them. These pieces speak from beneath the surface, where truth often resides.
